Wow. What a trip we’re all going through, right? Menudo viaje, colega. Governments stopping the world from its rush, our hasty stumbling through life, and finally, a moment to hear our thoughts. What, now? Nothing, silence. And hopefully, amid the noise our phones are still making, our caring duties to our loved ones, our illness, our desperation or our carelessness, and our trying to continue life as it was, we had a moment, too, of silence. A moment where one could hear one’s thoughts more clearly, where could one find oneself again. Just as when one was a child who played and built a universe with the toys available, or with whatever one was able to find at hand. Hopefully, one took that moment and sat with it for a while. Maybe that while took us to engage with ourselves again. Perhaps it took us to stop trying to forget ourselves in anything we could grasp: social media likes, senseless trips to the shops, binge-watching the whole of Netflix, endlessly playing GAME, drinking hasta el agua de los floreros, baking for a bakery, you get the gist. And maybe we started, after a long time, to enquire again. You know, those enquiries. The: what’s the meaning of life question. The what is my purpose one. Or, perhaps, what do I want to do with the time I have left in this crazy yet astounding world?
And maybe, one took the time to think about those questions. One, perhaps even, tried to answer them. And wow. The magnitude of the universe one is still capable of building, hey?
